Fine set of twelve classical carved and figured mahogany dining chairs, having concave rolled crests with inset figured veneer panel, set on shaped stiles centering a shell and leaf carved horizontal splat, with slip seat and hipped saber front legs with appied concentric bosses and raking rear
legs. Philadelphia, circa 1820-30.
33 1/2" high, 19" wide, 17" deep.
Wonderful original surface and condition, including original horsehair upholstery (needing reupholstery).
